Because Leh sits at a high altitude of 11,500 ft, the remainder of this first day is strictly dedicated to complete rest and vital acclimatization. This is highly recommended to help your body safely adjust to the thin mountain air before exploring.
In the evening, enjoy gentle sightseeing starting with the iconic white dome of Shanti Stupa, which offers stunning panoramic sunset views over Leh city. Follow this with a visit to the historic 17th-century Leh Palace, reflecting grand Ladakhi royal heritage.
